GOP Leader Shares Fake Image Of Christine Blasey Ford In Attempt To Suggest She Was Too Ugly To Assault 😡

By Dana Levinson

CW: sexual assault, victim shaming

Recently, President Trump openly mocked Brett Kavanaugh accuser Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. He weaponized her pain and her brave testimony against her. Apparently, the North Carolina Republican Party has taken the President's belittling of Blasey Ford as a blueprint.

Lanny Lancaster, the Cabarrus County GOP Chair, reposted an alleged photo of Blasey Ford in 1982, the year she alleges Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her, with the caption...

"This is the alleged sexual assault victim. Wow."

Frank McNeill, a Democratic candidate for Congress, responded in a newsletter, calling this...

"An assault on the safety and dignity of American women."

McNeill is running against Rep. Richard Hudson (R-NC), who is the incumbent in North Carolina's 8th District, which stretches from Fayetteville to parts of Charlotte.

McNeill went on to say...

"Now, Republican attacks on Dr. Blasey-Ford are coming from inside our own 8th District. Cabarrus County Republican Chair, Lanny Lancaster, posted his nastiness on Facebook just last night!"

When contacted by a local media source, the News Observer, Lanny Lancaster said this, in response to the controversy...

"I didn’t say anything. I just said this is her picture. Basically, the media is distorting the facts on this lady. Everything she’s said is made up. She has no evidence whatsoever. I support that theory."

He went on...

"The media wants you to think she was a beautiful young lady who was on her way home from the tennis courts ... I just wanted you to see the real person. I wanted people to see that this is really her."
