NICU Nurse Discovers She Cared For Her New Colleague When He Was A Premature Baby 28 Years Earlier ❤️

By Dana Levinson

54-year-old Vilma Wong has worked as a NICU nurse at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital in Palo Alto, CA for over three decades. Enter Dr. Brandon Seminatore who at 28 is finishing up his residency at the hospital. What's fascinating about Seminatore's story is that he was born prematurely at only 29 weeks in the very hospital that he now works in. What's even more astounding is, as it turns out, Vilma Wong was the nurse who took care of him in the NICU 28 years ago.

Wong recognized the name Seminatore, but couldn't put her finger on where she knew it from. It was when Seminatore revealed to her that he had been a patient there as a baby that she suddenly put the pieces together.

Wong told Yahoo News...

"A few weeks ago Brandon joined my team and was taking care of one of my patients. I asked who he was and his name and last name sounded very familiar. I kept asking where he was from and he told me that he was from San Jose, California, and that, as a matter of fact, he was a premature baby born at our hospital. I then got very suspicious because I remember being the primary nurse to a baby with the same last name. I asked him if his dad was a police officer and there was a big silence and then he asked me if I was Vilma. I said yes."

Seminatore told the same publication...

"When Vilma recognized my name, I remembered the photos my parents had shown me and it truly sunk in that I was one of these babies. I’ve come full-circle and I’m taking care of babies with the nurse that took care of me."

Of course, they snapped this totally adorable photo together and the story was shared by the hospital's Facebook page...
