On Friday, Texas A&M student Kate Cartwright spotted a man holding a sign at a busy intersection in College Station, Texas.
The sign simply said: "YOU HAVE YOUR OWN TURNING LANE DO NOT STOP"
Kate described the sign holder as "the hero we needed but didn't deserve." And heroic he was, as students old and new were moving in for the first day of classes.
As anyone who has lived in a college town would know, move-in weekend can be a nightmare, especially for the out-of-towners who aren't yet privy to the local traffic laws and regulations.
One news anchor wanted to discover who the mysterious hero was.
But others were content with thanking him on Twitter.
Some people felt they needed him in other locations.
And, as always, if you ask Twitter, they will provide. The mysterious hero? Identified.
And, like any hero worth their salt, Matthew Piccolo wasn't afraid to call out liars.
Matthew isn't new to internet fame. His proposal to his now-fiancée gained attention earlier this summer.
Thank you, Matthew Piccolo, for using your creativity for good.
