Sacha Baron Cohen's Interview With O.J. Simpson Got Super Awkward When He Tried To Get Him To Confess

By Dana Levinson

O.J. Simpson was a famous football player and occasional actor well before the murder of his second wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, turned him into a household name for a much darker reason. While he was controversially acquitted, he was arrested in 2007 for an armed robbery and later convicted.

Plenty of people have tried to get Simpson to admit that he killed his ex-wife, but Sacha Baron Cohen interviewed Simpson for his new show Who Is America?

A preview clip shows Cohen, in character, trying to get a confession out of Simpson.

In his Gio Monaldo character, Cohen says to Simpson:

You’re not O.J. the touchdown. You’re not O.J. the movie star. You kill two silly people and suddenly you’re O.J. the murderer.

And Simpson repeatedly claims:

I didn’t kill nobody.
