Singer La Roux Had Strong Words For Fox After They Used Her Song 'Bulletproof' In A Segment On Bulletproof Backpacks

By Vanessa Nix Anthony

English synth-pop act La Roux is speaking out against US television channel Fox Business (a sister channel to Fox News) for using their song "Bulletproof" during a "back-to-school" segment on Mornings With Maria on Monday. The segment featured bulletproof backpacks, designed to protect children during school shootings, along with other protective clothing deemed by marketing manager for the manufacturer MC Armor, Carolina Ballesteros Casas, as “fashion with ballistics.”

In the program, Casas said:

In the US, sadly, there is the gun fact. Everybody can have a gun. So, here, kids need to be protected.

To this, the show's host, Maria Bartiromo, replied:

It’s incredible that this has come to this, though – that we need bulletproof clothing.
