Bruno the cat, who is 25 lbs, loves to stand on his hind legs, and requires a LOT of petting at all times of day, has finally found an owner and a new home to call his own!
Bruno, at the age of 7, was beginning to wonder if he would ever find a home, and his fans on the internet were pulling for him.
And thankfully, he found a loving home with 29-year-old Lauren Paris from Chicago, and her boyfriend Jason Bartlett.
"When I saw a photo of Bruno that had been shared on Facebook I just...freaked," Paris told BuzzFeed News.
"It was this wild combination of an excited laugh/cry," she said. "And I felt this insane drive — I knew I would do whatever it took to be his forever home."
Indeed, she did whatever it took and more—Paris recorded a song to go with her application for Bruno.
The song, entitled "Gimme That Fat Cat," was written by Paris's friend Kathleen Gibson, who works for Second City.
"Bruno is very excited to live in a dope apartment overlooking Chicago, with luxury bedding and filtered water (all over the apartment of course)," said Wright-Way Rescue. "Can you say upgrade?"
We wish Bruno, Lauren and Jason many happy trails on their new adventure as a family.
