When Ebony Harris, a cashier at a Walmart in Burton, Michigan, heard one of her regular customers was denied a manicure at a local nail salon, there was only one thing for her to do. She helped the customer, Amanda Peters, pick out a shade of sparkly blue polish and did the woman's nails herself.
Peters has cerebral palsy, which causes her hands to sometimes shake. The nail salon denied her service, feeling her unsteadiness would make it too difficult to complete the manicure properly.
