Tesla Shares Fall After Elon Musk Calls One Of The Thai Cave Rescuers A 'Pedo' On Twitter

Shares of Tesla Inc. have fallen nearly four percent after Chief Executive Elon Musk issued a series of tweets on Sunday, calling one of the British cavers involved in the rescue of 12 Thai children and their coach from the Tham Luang Nang Non cave complex last week a "pedo."

For his part, British Caver Vernon Unsworth (one of the men who helped rescue 12 stranded boys and their coach from the narrow network of twisted, turning, and flooded tunnels in the Tham Luang Nang Non cave system by providing mapping knowledge of the cave to rescuers) said Musk's single person submarine prototype had "absolutely no chance of working."

Musk, who has since admitted he was angry about Unsworth's characterization of his efforts to aid in the rescue in the press as "just a PR stunt," seemed to lose all perspective on the situation, Sunday tweeting:
