Press secretary Sarah Sanders recently told The New York Times that if there’s anything that bothers her, it’s being called a liar. In a May 23rd article, Sanders admits “it certainly bothers me,” stating “because one of the few things you have are your integrity and reputation.” https://twitter.com/krassenstein/status/999395796779962370 https://twitter.com/bornmiserable/status/999469152615067648 Though she hates being called a liar, PolitiFact pinpointed four different instances where Sanders’ was caught giving objectively false information. Remember when she claimed that diversity visa immigrants weren’t vetted? That’s not correct at all. https://twitter.com/krassenstein/status/997654069677314048 Same as when she claimed news outlets reported President Barack Obama ordered wiretapping on Trump. According to PolitiFact, there were no instances of the media accusing Obama of wiretapping President Trump Sanders kind of covers her tracks by stating, “There’s a difference between misspeaking or not knowing something than maliciously lying.” The thing is, one side of the spectrum doesn’t quite buy that she doesn’t spew misinformation and isn’t part of the problem within Trump’s White House. https://twitter.com/jbendery/status/999644489915478016 Some of Sanders’ lies are downright obvious, such as her response when President Trump tweeted: “The Fake News is working overtime. Just reported that, despite the tremendous success we are having with the economy & all things else, 01% of the Network News about me is negative (Fake). Why do we work so hard in working with the media when it is corrupt? Take away credentials?” https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/994179864436596736 Right after he tweeted that, Sanders came out and said that the Trump administration is “committed to a free press.” It’s like they’re not even trying. https://twitter.com/USCentrist/status/999380682689335304 If it weren’t such a miserable state of affairs, it would actually be a little laughable how easy it is to call out Sanders’ lies. As CountessofNambia (@theClaudialnez) puts it, there are far worse things that Sanders should be bothered by that don’t seem to crack her thick, outer, robot-like exterior. https://twitter.com/theClaudiaInez/status/999533168599359488
