With over 10 school shootings since the beginning of 2018, Americans are taking real notice of the problem. With the NRA's powerful influence in Congress and a small, but extremely vocal portion of Americans resisting any new gun control legislation, however, significant change is an uphill battle. To try and fix the country's mental health problem, conservatives have diligently passed ZERO bills supporting mental health care, and have active attempted to defund what coverage citizens do have.
