Queen Elizabeth and her husband Prince Philip have been married for 70 years, and the couple celebrated their anniversary with a photographic portrait. Matt Holyoak, a celebrity portrait and fashion photographer, was the lucky pro who took the picture.
Holyoak had this to say about the experience:
I feel very honored and privileged to have been asked to contribute to this very special occasion. My vision for the image was to capture an intimate and natural portrait of the Queen and Duke to celebrate their landmark anniversary. The Queen and the Duke were very happy and relaxed which made it a pleasure. I feel the images showcase their strength and unity.”
The couple married on November 20, 1947, at Westminster Abbey. In 2015 Queen Elizabeth became the longest reigning British monarch, passing Queen Victoria's 65-years.
Elizabeth and Philip plan to celebrate with a small family dinner at Windsor Castle.
