Jeff Sessions Cracks Joke About Colluding With The Russians--People Don't Find It Funny

By Collin Gossel

On Friday, November 17, Attorney General Jeff Sessions gave a speech to the National Lawyers Convention in Washington D.C.

Before he got started, Sessions quipped:

Is Ambassador Kislyak in the room? Any Russians? Anybody been to Russia? Got a cousin in Russia, so...

Attorney General Sessions was joking about the fervor surrounding the multiple investigations into ties between the Trump presidential campaign and Russia. On Tuesday, November 14, Sessions testified for a third time in front of the House Judiciary Committee. During both of his previous testimonies, Sessions failed to recall meetings between himself and Russian agents.

Once the investigations uncovered the meetings, however, Sessions was able to recall them a bit better.
