During a congressional baseball practice in June, Congressman Steve Scalise was shot by a gunman and rushed to the hospital. Though seriously injured, it could have been a lot worse.
Fortunately, two officers of the law were there to subdue the gunman and protect the congressmen:
They acted with true heroism:
It turns out Officer Griner, who took a bullet in the process of saving Scalise, is a married lesbian who put her life on the line to do her job.
But that won't stop Scalise from speaking at an anti-LGBTQ summit this Friday:
