Looks like Taylor Swift is back on top. The 27-year-old pop star shocked her fans last week when she released her new single "Look What You Made Me Do" to Spotify and iTunes.
According to Associated Press, Swift set a new record for global streaming. On Saturday, the single reached over 8 million same-day streams.
YouTube reported that the music video had logged over 19 million views:
Swift's sixth studio album, Reputation, promises a new era for the recording artist. The ten-time Grammy Award winner released her new music video — which has subtle clap backs at feuds between Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, and Kanye West — during the Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards.
"Look What You Made Me Do" is heavy on snake motifs, and has a not-so-subtle theme of shedding that good-girl persona.
Fans' reactions were priceless:
If this is the new Taylor Swift, we can't wait for her new reputation.
