Riz Ahmed Admits He Almost Fist Bumped The Queen When He Met Her ๐Ÿ˜‚

Riz Ahmed is an award winning actor, perhaps best known for his work in The Night Of as well as Rogue One. Queen Elizabeth II is, well, the queen of the U.K. Well, when the two met, Riz Ahmed nearly made a faux pas. He revealed the near mistake to James Corden on the Late Late Show while appearing to promote his movie Venom. He explained that when they met, the Queen extended her hand palm down, which is apparently royal protocol. 

But Ahmed didn't realize this, saying...

"Itโ€™s very unclear what you should do."

He went on to explain that, to the horror of all of the royal guards around him, he thought Queen Elizabeth was trying to fist bump him. And then, when he realized that wasn't what was happening, he sorta awkwardly stroked the Queen's hand.
