Some celebs clap back with snark and cutting wit (we're looking at you, Chrissy Teigen), but Blake Lively isn't that kind of star. That's not to say she won't shut someone down, but she opts for a solid dose of self-deprecating humor when she does it.
Blake has been rocking a menswear-inspired vibe lately as she promotes her latest project, A Simple Favor. The looks have involved a lot of blazers, slacks, and lush textures and patterns.
But this look apparently went too far for one fan...
The multi-colored plaid suit featured a double-breasted jacket and high-waisted, wide-legged pants. Lively paired it with a tie, a side braid, and oh-so-much sparkle and color. The look is certainly not for everyone. (Don't even try it if you're not a tall drink of water like Lively, who's 5'10" without heels. It's definitely a head-turner, but we don't know that it's worthy of the hate one commenter had for it.
They responded to the look with brutal honesty — emphasis on brutal.
I say this with so much love and respect for you babe, please hire a stylist or fire the one you're currently with.
Lively responded and even tagged her stylist...who just so happens to be herself.
The Instagram account @CommentsByCelebs shared a screenshot, and followers have been cracking up and rushing to Lively's defense since.
One person even called her style "swaggy."
What do you think? Swaggy or switch it up? Honestly, though, something tells us Lively is going to keep doing whatever she wants to do. And we love that about her.
