'The Bachelor Winter Games' Are Coming Soon—And 2018 Is Already A Dumpster Fire

By Dana Levinson

For some reason, The Bachelor decided that it was important that they counterprogram the Olympics. While the games begin in Pyeongchang, The Bachelor Winter Games will pit 14 contestants against each other in 'wintry games,' including, according to a press release,

"the toughest sport of all – love."

Mashable released part of the official press release, which read,

"The bachelors and bachelorettes will participate in challenges from winter biathlon to ice dancing, with date cards being given to the winners of each challenge.  Romantic dates will test the bachelors’ and bachelorettes’ perseverance in pursuing relationships with one another while faced with language barriers and cultural differences, including some amusing issues with intimacy."

The four part special series will begin airing on February 13th and end on February 22nd.  Chris Harrison will be joined on his hosting duties by Hannah Storm and KABC-TV's Ashley Brewer, and there will be guest appearances from Ryan and Trista Sutter, Arie Luyendyk Jr., Rachel Lindsay, and Jojo Fletcher. Figure skaters Nancy Kerrigan, Tai Babilonia, and Randy Gardner are also set to appear.
