There has been a rumor for quite some time that actor and former wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson may mount a run for President in 2020. Johnson has openly fanned the flames of such rumors and some polls even have him leading President Trump.
But now, Johnson looks to be quashing the rumor. Or is he?
During an interview on The Graham Norton Show last Friday, Johnson revealed there's one major problem that would keep him from running for president: his Jumanji costar Kevin Hart.
When asked whether he is likely to run for president, Johnson replied (referring to Hart sitting next to him):
The problem is this guy to my right will completely sabotage the campaign...
And Hart concurred:
100% 100% I'm the guy that will take him down...I don't want it to happen just because it would make you that much better than me...
Whether Johnson's concern is real or just amusing talk show banter, the people appear to still be rooting for a 2020 run.
Johnson's fans took to Twitter to urge him to run...
But not everyone was on board:
Is this too much to ask?
