Tom Holland, star of Marvel's Spider-Man: Homecoming, recently found himself in a stressful situation. While on the train, two nearby passengers began discussing the plot of the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, which Holland has a major part in. His desire to share what he knew must have nearly overwhelmed him.
Holland tweeted about his predicament:
The funny thing is, Holland may not be lying about his own ignorance. Marvel has reportedly been telling him as little as possible about his movie's plots. The actor has a bit of a history of revealing Marvel secrets and, when it comes to spoilers of this magnitude, loose lips sink ships.
During an Instagram live-stream, Holland revealed the new Avengers poster:
Though that particular incident may have been staged, Holland's real-life co-stars seem to corroborate the fact that he's pretty bad at keeping secrets.
Laura Harrier, who played Liz in SM:H, commented:
Tom is terrible at it! He is the worst. He tells everything. I'm always like, 'What are you saying? Stop!’
Holland also weighed in on how Marvel treats him:
The funny thing is about that movie is I showed up and I was like, 'Can I read the script?' And they were like, 'No, you're terrible at keeping secrets.'
Though the people discussing Infinity War may not have recognized Holland, someone else on the train did.
It's hard to go unnoticed when you're Spider-Man.
Many Marvel fans were eager for spoilers.
And, knowing Holland, he probably wished he could give them out...
But it looks like the young star has managed to keep the plot under lock and key... at least, for now.
May is a long way off. We'll see if he makes it.
