Pete Davidson Fires Back At Chevy Chase After His 'SNL' Diss: 'He's Just A Bad, Racist Person'

By Vanessa Nix Anthony

The gloves are off when it comes to current Saturday Night Live (SNL) cast member, Pete Davidson and SNL alum, Chevy Chase (a founding member of SNL's Not Ready For Prime-Time Players).

It all started with a recent article in The Washington Post titled Chevy Chase Can't Change: The 74-year-old comedy star is sober and ready to work, the problem is nobody wants to work with him, where Chase shared his no-holds-barred feelings about the current incarnation of the show that made him:

I’m amazed that Lorne [Michaels] has gone so low. I had to watch a little of it, and I just couldn’t f—ing believe it,” Chase told the Washington Post. “That means a whole generation of s—heads laughs at the worst f—ing humor in the world. You know what I mean? How could you dare give that generation worse s— than they already have in their lives? It just drives me nuts.

Apparently, this is where current cast member Davidson comes in, feeling offended not only for himself and the current cast but also for the show's creator and executive producer, Lorne Michaels—the man who gave both Chase and Davidson their big breaks.

Chatting with satellite radio shock jock, Howard Stern on his SiriusXM radio show, Davidson hit back saying:

He’s a f—ing douchebag. F— Chevy Chase. He’s just a genuinely bad, racist person and I don’t like him. He’s a putz.
