Los Angeles traffic is infamous as some of the most congested and frustrating in the nation, and drivers on the 105 Freeway in Hawthorne decided they weren't going to take it anymore. Traffic was at a hopeless standstill after a tragic tanker truck crash resulted in the loss of two people. Delays on the freeway were unrelenting and while some tried to avoid the traffic by changing course, for some it was too late.
Realizing traffic was hopelessly deadlocked, the stuck drivers abandoned their cars and started on foot for a nearby food truck to pass the time.
News cameras caught an aerial video of the remarkable scene.
