Ted Cruz Chased Out Of D.C. Restaurant By Kavanaugh Protestors In Viral Video

By Erica Diaz

Ted Cruz tried to take his wife out to dinner at a Washington D.C. restaurant Monday night. The couple didn't make it very far into their meal (see also: nowhere) because as soon as they walked towards a table, a group of protesters confronted them. The protesters asked about Cruz's close relationship with Brett Kavanaugh and whether or not he believes the multiple women who have come forward accusing Kavanaugh of sexual assault.

Cruz did not respond to any of the questions, but he did repeatedly tell the group "god bless you" as he and his wife packed up and left their table. The protesters began to chant "we believe survivors" while Ted and Heidi worked their way out. At one point Cruz did speak up to ask that people allow Heidi through. Most of the protesters stayed focused on Kavanaugh, but at least one spoke up about Cruz's political opponent, Beto O'Rourke.

Through the chants about sexual assault survivors, a voice rings out and says:

"Beto is way hotter than you, dude."
