It seems certain that Donald Trump will be remembered as an innovator. We will look back on the President as a man of ideas, a man of reinvention, a man who changed the rules and forged his own course — by which I mean made-up words and malapropisms.
And now? There's "false acquisitions."
Ranting in defense of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, who is presently embattled in a mountain of sexual misconduct allegations, noted stable genius Donald Trump condemned the charges against Kavanaugh as "false acquisitions."
We assume the President meant "false accusations." Trump and most of the GOP have strained to defend Kavanaugh, who has been accused of sexual assault or harassment by two women, with a third, represented by Stormy Daniels' attorney Michael Avenatti, expected to go public with her
acquisitions accusations any time now.
The President deleted and corrected the tweet within about 10 minutes but, luckily, the internet was ready with screenshots.
