Donald Trump has a stamp of disapproval from countless celebrities and other famous figures. One of the most well-known being the infamous horror author behind IT, The Shining, and Carrie, Stephen King.
On Tuesday, Trump called his former aide Omarosa Manigault Newman a "lowlife" in a tweet:
This came shortly after she published her new memoir, Unhinged: An Insider's Account of the Trump White House.
Twitter was quick to point out that he hired Manigault Newman not once, not twice, but four times:
In addition to being one of his aides, she starred on his reality television show The Apprentice for more than a decade.
Responses came flooding in:
Somehow, most people were disgusted at the president calling a woman a dog. Go figure.
Stephen King was amongst those who responded:
Called his foul-mouth "ugly" and "demeaning," King pointed out that people have gotten used to Trump talking like that. Now, as a result of that, people are beginning to become desensitized to his mind-blowing name-calling.
King has openly spoken out against Trump in the past:
As he does in his books, King held nothing back in his tweets about the president.
So much so, Trump blocked King on Twitter:
Although, considering he has blocked half of Hollywood, that doesn't take a whole lot.
In fact, Trump has blocked so many people, there is a trending hashtag dedicated to it: #BlockedByTrump. Back in March, Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald ruled that because his social media is a public forum, blocking someone is violating the First Amendmant.
Buchwald declared his blocking as unconstitutional.
Twitter agreed with King:
People can't believe it is accepted, and even normalized, for the President of the United States to talk to people as he does.
King is one of many, many, many people who have referred to President Trump as a dog:
Quite a long list for such a specific insult.
King might be the man behind some of the most frightening, bone-chilling books of all time, but somehow, Trump continues to scare people even more in 140 characters or less.
