Filmmaker David Lynch (Twin Peaks, Blue Velvet) told The Guardian that although he isn't very political (must be nice) he thinks there is a chance that President Donald Trump could go down as one of the greatest presidents in history. Lynch didn't say it was because Trump is a great leader or because he introduced great policy. It was more about his ability to stir the pot and cause disruption.
I am not really a political person, but I really like the freedom to do what you want to do. [Trump] could go down as one of the greatest presidents in history because he has disrupted the thing so much. No one is able to counter this guy in an intelligent way.
Our so-called leaders can’t take the country forward, can’t get anything done. Like children, they are. Trump has shown all this.
Although Lynch did not vote for Trump, he does think his presidency opens the door for more outsiders to take a place in government. That's not such a bad thing.
Although what Lynch said wasn't exactly glowing praise for Trump, the president, still ran with it.
Actress Patricia Arquette, who worked with Lynch on Lost Highway, weighed in.
Lynch's comments left many scratching their heads and wondering if they were in a Lynch film.
After hearing that Trump had tweeted about him, Lynch took to Facebook to clarify his comments and reach out to the president in his rather Lynchian way.
Lynch fans were breathing a sigh of relief that Lynch was still Lynch.
Expectations for Trump "getting" what Lynch was saying were slim to none.

What a guy.
Burger King is freaking out its customers with a strange new burger that gives you nightmares.
Perhaps they should have thought this through or had a 13 year old look at the design?
And we are carb-loading.
