On Saturday, people across the country participated in more than 700 protests, in all 50 states, banding together for Families Belong Together marches.
The protests came in the wake of the Trump administration's "zero-tolerance" immigration policy which forced families apart and put thousands of children in camps.
This separation sparked outrage that has been further propelled as news broke that children, as young as 3-years-old, are being forced to attend their deportation hearings all alone.
In Los Angeles, California, protesters included stars like Indigenous artist Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas, U.S. Senator Kamala Harris, author, model and activist Chrissy Teigen and her husband, musician John Legend.
Teigen, who works on behalf of numerous causes, has never shied away from calling out President Trump. And Saturday was no exception.
Teigen stood in front of the Los Angeles marchers and delivered an impassioned speech while cradling her infant son.
Teigen's words resounded with the crowd.
“Making America great doesn’t mean building walls to keep people out. It means continuing to embrace the dreams of immigrants who add to our culture, our economy, and our humanity.”- @chrissyteigen ♥️— AmyPoehlerSmartGirls (@smrtgrls) July 1, 2018

Teigen offers a particularly relevant perspective as the child of an immigrant and mother of two young children.
Watching Chrissy Teigen holding her baby while speaking at #FamiliesBelongTogetherMarch, one can only imagine the horror of Trump ICE Gestapo ripping away babies tightly held by parents, then herding them into prison camps. #SundayMorning#CNNSOTU #AMJoypic.twitter.com/NzWdYG86cj— PassMeAPickle (@CeeLeeMusic) July 1, 2018
*Best selling author, Mother, Justice Warrior, Philanthropist are some of the better titles you should have afforded @chrissyteigen while commenting on her protesting babies in cages and families separated. I don’t even work for you and I wrote your headline better.— IAmJenni (@themrsjaz) June 30, 2018
One day we’ll remember those who spoke up and those who were silent. Chrissy will be remembered for speaking up and making this nightmare more bearable with her Twitter magnificence!— 🏳️🌈✝️anita huseby✝️🏳️🌈 (@anita1956) July 1, 2018
