The Opening Credits For 'Silicon Valley' Include A Shady Jab At Facebook

Known for inserting Easter eggs that allude to current affairs into its introduction, HBO's Silicon Valley took a dig at Facebook on Sunday during its season premier — and it was Michael Kelso BURN-worthy. 

The idea was most likely conceived last fall when Facebook faced allegations of allowing Russian propaganda on its platform. Rolling it out now when Mark Zuckerberg is under attack yet again — this time for the Cambridge Analytica controversy — was a stroke of genius on executive producer Mike Judge's part.

The only problem was that people got really caught up on the fact that the lettering is not Russian. It's mostly Cyrillic and still closely resembles the word "Facebook," merely nodding to the general look of the Russian alphabet.
