Remember a time when coffee was just... coffee?
Once upon a time a caffeine jolt was simple. You'd sidle up to the counter and order a cup of Joe with some dairy and sweetener. Now, after a decade and a half of Starbucks and dark roast demand indulgence people have lost their minds when they order coffee.
I myself have made a scene or two ordering a coffee (because they NEVER listen, I digress) but I've never gone overboard like some other people.
Yeah, that is a whole lot of drama! That original post was from a barista (Jessica) who couldn't believe her ears when she heard the order from a customer named Ashely, who, ordered a drink with 30 pumps of syrup to start! And it only gets better; well not for Jessica and other baristas but for us to have a laugh at it's great.
Ashley also added sweet cream, whip cream, almond milk and everything you can think of to enjoy diabetes.
Of course Jessica isn't the only barista with a tale to tell.
there was a girl at my store who would get a venti iced coffee with 7 pumps of vanilla, 7 caramel, 7 toffee nut, 5 classic, and 7 hazelnut with ex heavy cream. like I thought that was bad.— Jacqueline Gonzalez (@captainyackie) March 19, 2018
Just because it's free doesn't mean it's ok.
How about some pancakes on the side?
Soon everybody had ideas. Add everything and the kitchen sink.
Let's just mix everything you can possibly think of!
Learn to recycle the flavor.
How many flavors does one person need? Make a choice!!
There’s this girl at my store that would legit get a caramel macchiato with 10 pumps white mocha 9 shots whole milk and 10 pumps vanilla and it was too much liquid we had to put it in a Trenta cup. And she never tips.— crying after one (1) beer (@faggyknees) March 20, 2018
Coffee shakes us all night long!
This one time this girl got a venti dirty chai w/ 15 pumps chai i was shook.— 🥤 (@deemuney15) March 20, 2018
In the end just give me my drink how I ordered it! Even if it's crazy. As long as we all tip... it's all good.
