Few film franchises have made an impact quite like Star Wars has. Besides the actual movies being regarded as some of the best, fans have developed a love an admiration for the characters that is like no other – and over time, close-knit co-stars basically became family.
With that being said, everyone in the cast took a hard loss when Carrie Fisher, also known as Princess Leia, passed in December 2016.
Mark Hamill, famous for portraying the infamous Luke Skywalker, found solace in a sign from his guardian angel. While at a hotel in London, the actor came across a painting that reminded him a lot of the beautiful Princess Leia.
He tweeted a photo of the painting and noted that it had to have been an act of fate:
Coincidence? Perhaps. But, the woman in the painting does look an awful lot like Fisher as Leia.
Sure, the hair is the main resemblance, but fans have even pegged it down to a specific scene:
Hamil wasn't the only one who choked up after seeing the painting. Star Wars fans from all over were super emotional:
And everyone agreed that this was no coincidence. Rather, an angel sending a sign and some love to an old friend:
That's sweet .... and certainly not a coincidence! 😍☺️— Shyanne 🕷️ (@MauiSunsetGirl5) March 21, 2018
