An announcement at a surprise Nintendo Direct presentation on Thursday had gaming fans cheering like pre-teens at a Taylor Swift concert. The earth-shattering news: Super Smash Bros. is coming to the Nintendo Switch, and it's happening sometime this year!

It is unclear whether the forthcoming release will be a completely new addition to the popular game series or a port of one of the series' older games.
