Kristen Bell's marriage to Dax Shepard has been of public note since she proposed via Twitter.
They'd been a couple since 2007, engaged since 2010, and waiting out of solidarity with the gay community until the Supreme Court invalidated the Defense of Marriage Act in June 2013. Then, it took less than four months to actually plan their wedding. But it seems a relationship that can withstand such publicity must have a strong foundation, and after ten years and two kids together, Bell had a bit of advice she wanted to share with some newly engaged friends.
I was writing a note 2 friends who were getting hitched. I wrote congratulations then thought "Kristen! Arent u old & married? Dont u have any wisdome to share?!" When i was done, I realized Id written the A-Z of what keeps my marriage w/@daxshepard1 healthy. #HappyValentinesDay pic.twitter.com/d0ew7hydUL— Kristen Bell (@IMKristenBell) February 14, 2018
Pretty solid lineup right there.
The internet quickly acknowledged the sageness of her rundown.
22 years of marriage makes me think this is perfect!! And if that is actually your hand writing...I am contacting Apple and submitting the new Kristen Bell font. :)— Robert Clem (@robertclem) February 14, 2018
I studied a little bit of handwriting analysis. People who write in all caps are typically overly dramatic and like attention. Perfect for an actress right? 😂 love ya Kristen, great advice btw!— TONIA L.CLARK (@whynotmomdotcom) February 15, 2018
Such great advice! We're 14 years in and working on many of the same things. 💜💛💚— NOLA Rad (@sniggole) February 14, 2018
It also helps to know what your partner's "sloth meltdown" button is — and occasionally poke it.
