So maybe you have never heard of Galentine's Day. Well, life is about to get a whole lot better. What’s Galentine’s Day? Oh, it’s only the best day of the year. Every Februrary 13th women around the world celebrate each other and celebrate having wonderful women in their lives. Its is a legacy left over from the TV series Parks and Recreations and it doesn't look like it is going anywhere anytime soon.
On the show Amy Poheler's character Leslie Knope explained it as a day to “come and kick it, breakfast-style."
Nearly three years after the end of the series, the ladies of Parks and Recreations are still celebrating each other and Galentine's Day. Aubrey Plaza posted this photo with co-stars Rashida Jones, Pohler, and Kathryn Hahn.
Amy Pohler's organization Smart Girls wanted to know what you were doing to celebrate.
The responses didn't disappoint.
Even the women of the Senate and the United Nations were getting in on the act.
Apparently we can learn a lot from the animal kingdom... er... should we say queendom?
Here's to all the ladies!
Happy Galentine's Day!
