John Krasinski visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show and discussed the possibility of a reboot for the widely successful show The Office. Krasinski told Ellen that he had heard the rumors on the internet but had so far not received a call from the network.
With comical fake tears he wondered out loud what it all meant:
What does that say? That NBC's like, 'you know who we didn't like? Jim.' It better not be true.
Ellen assured the star of the new film A Quiet Place, which costars Emily Blunt, that there is no way NBC would dare bring back The Office without the fan favorite character of Jim.
Krasinski said he's more than ready to suit up and return to work.
Fans had one stipulation.
The office without Steve Carrell in it is not The office. End of it— Megan McKee (@megankmckee) February 12, 2018
However, I do want The Office reboot with Steve Carell and if he isn’t apart of it....I don’t want it!— W H I T N E Y ✊🏾 (@cucumbercool_) February 7, 2018
