Streaming services are just a part of the way we live our lives. Whether you're watching Hulu, Netflix, Amazon or using some other streaming app - people are consuming their media via streaming now more than ever. When Disney announced that they would be removing much of their content from other streaming services and starting their own, a lot people groaned about it. Not so much that Disney would have it's own service, but that it would remove content from others.
There were thousands of people who went "Psh, fine then. Be that way." and swore to themselves they would not get that Disney streaming service.
New details have come out, though, and some of those people are starting to reconsider. According to Deadline Hollywood, the service (which launches in fall of 2019) has begun to really formulate a battle plan. R-Rated content will still be available on Hulu. Marvel content will remain wherever it currently is, so Netflix gets to keep it's super hero inventory of films.
Pretty much everything else will go on Disney's platform. That means the shows pre-school kids enjoy, the classic movies, and anything owned by Disney that isn't rated R will all disappear from every platform except the Disney one.
Every parent of a three-year-old just died a little on the inside. Honestly, so did a lot of Twitter.

Disney bought out fox. You kind of have to at this point.— BlurNulled (@HittingMode) February 9, 2018
Not everyone was such an unwilling customer, though. The company also released some future plans for the streaming service, which include five new movies, an animated Monsters Inc. series, a new Star Wars title and more.
If Disney pulls through with a streaming service, I will never step into the outside world again, which honestly is not a problem for me in any way, shape, or form.— Ava Dolce (@ava_dolce) February 9, 2018
