We're in a '90s TV reunion boom, what with Rocko's Modern Life, Roseanne, and Will & Grace, to mention a few. So why not the one with the episodes with that particular naming convention? People have been poking Jennifer Aniston about a Friends reunion for years, and since she's the most active core cast member, she ends up fielding most of the inquiries.
As you can imagine, Jen's got a polished response at the ready.
Well, maybe not that one. But Aniston recently made an appearance on Ellen, and the conversation turned to a Friends reunion.
"Y'all should do a Friends reunion," Ellen said. "Is it even in the realm of possibility?"
And Aniston replied:
Anything is a possibility. I mean, George Clooney got married.
Man, what did George do to get dragged like that?
Jen might be the most diplomatic when it comes to the subject. Her former costars have flatly denied the possibility. David Schwimmer went on record as recently as this week to grimace at its odds. Matthew Perry once said that a reunion is a recurring nightmare he has. Apparently folks as far down the line as Gunther have their doubts. But hey, if Jen's willing to be coy, I guess you really never know.
And if it does happen, Twitter is here to prime that pump:
Though not everyone is so giddy:
I would like an app that filters out all tweets teasing a "Friends" reunion.— Tom & Lorenzo (@tomandlorenzo) February 2, 2018
The one with soooooo much teasing.
