Stormy Daniels, the adult film star who reportedly had an extra-marital affair with Donald Trump in 2006 appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to dance around the topic. During the conversation Daniels cast doubt that she had signed a statement denying the relationship.
Daniels and Kimmel tip-toed around the topic.
“Did you sign this letter that was released today?” Kimmel asked.
“I don’t know, did I?” replied Daniels. Later adding, “But that does not look like my signature, does it?”
Earlier in the week, The View, guest S.E. Cupp weighed in questioning why Kimmel had not invited Monica Lewinsky to be interviewed on his show, saying:
Monica Lewinsky was also caught having an affair with a president. Jimmy Kimmel needs to have [Lewinsky] on his show if he expects us to watch an interview with Stormy Daniels and take it seriously.
Kimmel fired back in his next opening monologue, showing clips of the three times Lewinsky has appeared on the Kimmel show. The result of all of this back and forth was that Daniels cancelled her upcoming appearance on The View.
Whoopi Goldberg, host of the view announced the cancellation.
It was clear from the host's comments that no one was thrilled with the cat and mouse game that Daniels was playing during her interview with Kimmel.
People felt the whole mess was hysterical.
Con man Trump is literally getting conned by a porn star. Karma, gotta love it!— Resist (@StandUpUSAm) February 1, 2018
If she has a NDA with Trump it would seem that if she breaks it the only legal action Trump could take against her is to sue her...which would be public and proof that they did have an affair. Or he can bribe her with more $$$ to keep quiet.— jeanbhaze (@jeanbhaze) February 1, 2018
Alright, time to start a GoFundMe to pay her legal fees for breaking that NDA. I think it'll be worth it.— Scott Gibbs (@ScottNGibbs) February 1, 2018
Even more are over it and want to focus on more important things.
Think of something else to talk about. This is NOT interesting to people with a brain.— Mari Kay (@MariKay77) February 1, 2018
Good. She’s not needed in the collusion/obstruction case and she just needs to go away.— SportswearTees (@sportsweartees) February 1, 2018
Still others were loving Kimmel's take down of S.E. Cupp.
S.E Cupp, you realize Jimmy didn't have a late night show in the 90's, right? UM, hate tell you, but that's old news, Clinton left 4 terms ago. If only we had media back then, people could have talked about it and embarrass Clinton.— BlueWave2018 (@BluePatriotUSA1) February 1, 2018
One thing is for sure this whole thing is one stormy mess.
