Today is not a good day to be radio host Alex Raimer. Alex is a part of a radio show in Boston that has been doing weekly segments with NFL star Tom Brady for a while now. That may not happen anymore thanks to Alex referring to Tom Brady's 5-year-old daughter in a way that seriously offended Brady, and for good reason.
Alex Raimer called Brady's little girl an "annoying little pissant." Yeah, she's 5. Let that sink in.
Brady didn't hear the comment as it was said, as it wasn't said during his talk show.
Alex said it while reviewing a documentary, but word eventually made it back to Brady, who handled it with class:
To further complicate the issue, the station and the Patriots just announced a multi-year deal.
We can't think of a good time to call a man's daughter a 'pissant,' but this sure wasn't it.
Twitter had Brady's back...
I don't blame him. How low can you be to go after a child 😠😠— LET'S GO !!! (@Mystikpeach64) January 29, 2018
There is no way Tom Brady will ever come back with Reimer working at WEEI. I wouldn’t, with that scumbag attacking 5 year olds.— MichaelC (@sherlock2004) January 29, 2018
if you disrespect a man's wife and/or children, you better be ready for the consequences.— Captain (@Johnny_3Fingas) January 29, 2018
Way to go jackass. How does it feel good to bully a 5 year old girl. Why hasn't he been fired yet?— Tina L Masiello (@tlmasiello) January 29, 2018
Even people who don't like Brady are cheering for him in this case...
I loathe Brady and wish him horrible luck on the field; but that’s it when it goes into personal attacks that’s when sports become not fun. That host should be fired— Nick Bartley (@Bartl3y) January 29, 2018
I despise #TomBrady #Belichick . I hope the @Eagles crush brady & decimate that cheat to win team once and for all. However, being a father I 100% agree w/ Brady that kids are off limits. His daughter (like my daughter) is an innocent child. Those comments were wrong. #GoEagles— Kraig D (@PROstrength) January 29, 2018
Reimer did the impossible: made Eagles fans root for Brady. Who'd-a-thunk it?
