A Man Was Just Arrested For Making Violent, Threatening Calls To CNN
Updated 4 months ago

Last week, a Michigan man named Brandon Griesemer was arrested for making threatening phone calls to CNN's headquarters in Atlanta in which he said he would kill employees there. On Tuesday, CNN, reported that Griesemer made 22 phone calls on January 9 and 10. In some of the calls he also made disparaging remarks about Jews and Black people. This was also not Griesemer's first run-in with the police. Back in September, he was arrested for making threatening phone calls to an Ann Arbor area mosque. The affidavit in the CNN incident was unsealed last Friday.

Inside were some quotes from the threatening phone calls...

Fake news. I'm coming to gun you all down.
I am on my way right now to gun the f****** CNN cast down .... I am coming to kill you.

On Monday, CNN released a statement:

We take any threats to CNN employees or workplaces, around the world, extremely seriously. This one is no exception. We have been in touch with local and federal law enforcement throughout, and have taken all necessary measures to ensure the safety of our people.

Some people pointed out the President's complicity, as well as the complicity of his whole administration:

Others had fears about what path our country is heading down:

And Daily Beast reporter Spencer Ackerman made this important point:

This country is walking down a dangerous path.
