UK Independence Party leader Henry Bolton has done something pretty rare for politicians lately and put his proverbial money where his mouth was. When a private chat was leaked that exposed his new girlfriend as a racist, he broke up with her. That girlfriend just so happened to be media personality, Jo Marney. The conversation was about Meghan Markle and some of these comments are beyond atrocious.
UKIP leader’s girlfriend, @Jo_Marney:— Mutaz Elnour (@MutazElnour) January 13, 2018
“I wouldn’t with a negro.... She’s black.... This is Britain, not Africa”
“doesn’t mean I hate their race.”
You are racist - say it with your chest, ma’am. And btw, yes we are “pushing our way to the top slowly.” Deal with it. pic.twitter.com/WGy4OO0UFG
Jo defended her statements as being taken out of context. She even put up a tweet thanking people for being understanding and saying we all make mistakes. Bolton has broken up with her, but also says he is going to stand by her and her family.
“At the moment it is obviously quite incompatible to continue the relationship. But, I’m going to be continuing to support her family because Jo is absolutely distraught by this.”
Decision made. @_HenryBolton chose racist UKIP over racist glamour model @Jo_Marney They were only going out for 3 weeks, so I imagine she’ll get over it. If this was a soap she’ll be pregnant with twins now. But it’s not so she’ll just have kick-started her career.— Pie-Eater (@jamesclossick) January 15, 2018
When racists say their racist remarks were 'taken out of context' what they mean is: "I am a racist & those remarks were meant for other racists. You are not a racist, so you don't get the context of being a racist. You don't understand us racists" #jomarney #UKIP— Mr T (@TheJazzDad) January 14, 2018

Unless she went back to Berlin 1939 via a time machine, and was Eva Braun, it's hard to see a context that could explain this bile.

“(Jo) Marney apologised and said her messages had been taken out of context.” I’m sorry: what context is blatant, neocolonial racism supposed to be consumed in? 🤔— Caroline Colvin (@petitangebrun) January 14, 2018
“Dumb little actress” 😂 no your right, your not racist you just seem a tad jealous. Watched by millions in Suits, you’ve got Actor in your bio and people only know you because of you being xenophobic...tell me more about how your career is going 😭— Veetz (@VeetzTweets) January 16, 2018
