'Breaking Bad' Fans Are Opening A New Restaurant In Albuquerque—And We're Obsessed
4 months ago

Breaking Bad super-fans Edward Candelaria and Marq Smith are paying to transform a local Albuquerque  Twisters Burgers and Burritos restaurant into the unforgettable Los Pollos Hermano from the hit show Breaking Bad. Fans of the show will recall that Los Pollos Hermano was a front for the terrifying character Gustavo Fring, a meth distributor and all around bad guy.  The reason for the transformation is to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the show. The show was filmed on location in Albuquerque  from 2008-2013. The spin off show  Better Call Saul is currently shooting there now.

Reuben Zaragoza, the general manager of Twisters says about the change:

“We’re going to look like Los Pollos Hermanos. We’ll have the sign. All the cashiers will be wearing yellow shirts, the aprons and hats.”

The hope is that the cast of Better Call Saul" will stop in.  Candelaria threw out this enticing offer:

“‘Better Call Saul’ is in town filming so if any of the cast members want to show up, hey, we’ll buy you a burrito.”

Sounds like a great way to spend the afternoon.
