The First Trailer For Season 2 Of 'The Handmaid's Tale' Is Here—And We're Not Okay

***Spoilers***

For those who read The Handmaid's Tale or watched Hulu's first season based on the book, you know that Offred's future is left hanging in the balance. The reader/viewer is left to their imagination as to what happens to the beloved heroine. Will she be taken to her husband and enjoy freedom once again? Or will she be dragged off to the dreaded colonies? Maybe she is being taken away to be killed by the authorities?

We never get the answer.

With the success of the first season, Hulu is continuing the saga for season two and entering into an unknown future for the world of Gilead. With the novel's author, Margaret Atwood, acting as consultant for the show, we know it will stay true to her vision.

And oh what a vision it is!

Hulu released the trailer for season 2 and for good reason people are freaking out. Take a look for yourself.

This does not look like a woman who is reunited with her husband in Canada. Isn't that the same mask Emily was forced to were? Not happy!

Hulu

We can only hope Serena is thinking about all the shitty things she did and feeling really bad. Oh wait, we forgot, she has no feelings.

Hulu

Um, not sure why all around bad-ass, Moira is crying but whatever it is it can't be good.

Hulu

Okay, perhaps things are looking up. Maybe the handmaids are finally organizing. This is a good sign.

Hulu

Hey now, where ya going with that hammer? To go have a chat about boundaries and consent with the Commander?

Hulu

Come on now! Forget about Nick.  Go find your husband and Moira. Those are your people!

Hulu

Now we're talking. Burn it all to the ground, girl.

Fans of the show are counting the days until April.

Lisa Jasper wins the biggest fan ever award!

April can't get here soon enough.
