While boasting of hefty employee bonuses following the GOP tax cuts, at least two companies were simultaneously planning to lay off workers en masse. Sickeningly, Comcast did it right before Christmas, laying off some 500 sales employees. Another giant, AT&T, is getting rid of thousands of workers.

Color me unsurprised. That bonus was their way of "softening the blow", got them good press, and still saves them money.— Christopher Short (@infinitywulf) January 7, 2018
And here’s the thing with comcast and att.. they enjoy virtual monopolies so to boycott them may mean no internet for many. Not good.— Glenn Robinson (@glennythpaltrow) January 7, 2018

Isn't it great how "trickle down economics" works, of course the GOP has tried it every since Regan and it's never worked for them— HereWeGoAgain (@HereWeGoAgain) January 7, 2018
The only thing that's ever going to 'trickle down' is 💩! That's what it has been, that's what it always will be!— Sal Bedolla (@salbed) January 7, 2018
