On New Year's Eve a Houston couple, Randall Magill and Jose Chavez, told Houston 2 News they were booted out of an Uber for kissing. They believe the reaction to a peck on the lips was because they are gay.
I wasn't doing anything that I wouldn't have done in public. I’m not going to embarrass myself or my fiancé by any means ... I’ve never heard of anyone being asked to stop kissing anywhere, especially when you’re just peck on the lips.
Magill said the driver claimed he had also recently kicked a straight couple out for kissing.
He said, 'I can’t take you no more.' He was like, 'I’m going to have to drop you guys off,' and we said, 'That’s fine ... I was upset. I’ve never been told not to kiss or anything.
This is just bad! I blame #45 with his foul mouth and anti-LGBT hatred spews! Can't he just keep his ugly yap shut!?— Harold Montgomery (@montydaman) January 2, 2018
Clearly discriminatory. That driver should be immediately terminated !!— J William Bosch (@SDP75204) January 1, 2018
He should have proceeded to a safe location before throwing them out.— TrumpIs4Amnesty SAD! (@RandyCarranco) January 1, 2018
Looks like Uber needs to look into some sensitivity training.
