Guy Fieri's 500-seat restaurant, Guy’s American Kitchen & Bar in Times Square, served its last meal on New Year's Eve. After five years in business, the restaurant permanently shut its doors.
I’m proud that for over five and a half years, Guy’s American in New York City served millions of happy guests from all over the world and upon the restaurant’s closing, I’d like to say thank you to all of the team members and guests who made it all happen.
Depending on who you ask, this is either the end of the culinary world as we know it or a blessing from the food Gods. Flavortown was infamous for getting a zero-star review in the New York Times in 2012 while simultaneously being ranked the 26th privately-owned restaurant in New York City, bringing in an impressive $16 million in 2013.
The world has been without Guy Fieri's Time Square restaurant for two days. Let that sink in.— Jamie (@Jmw3iss) January 2, 2018

I wouldn't try anything that comes with Donkey Sauce. Just the thought of it, leaves a bad taste in my mouth.— PHILLY'S ILL SKILLZ (@illskillz77) January 2, 2018
