For most of his first year in office '45 spent a decent amount of time antagonizing an unhinged world leader all to show the brutish force of of the United States. Now the North Korean force has spoken back with a clear and dangerous New Year's statement.
In an address broadcasted on state television Kim Jong Un stated :
"The entire mainland of the U.S. is within the range of our nuclear weapons and the nuclear button is always on the desk of my office. They should accurately be aware that this is not a threat but a reality,” he followed with "the U.S. would not dare to take any military action against Pyongyang because they know that now we possess such great nuclear power.”
In 2017 North Korea brazenly fired 23 missiles and performed powerful nuclear testing, even against threats of retaliation from The Trump administration.
Recently, Adm. Mike Mullen, a former member of the Joint Chief of Staffs, issued a warning saying that the U.S. is “closer to a nuclear war with North Korea than ever."
As if everyone's nerves aren't already frayed. Twitter had a few things to add.
The people & government of N. Korea DON'T have a choice who their leader is. America does. All diplomatic options have NOT been exhausted till we remove the bully in the White House who thinks nothing of pushing us towards war by antagonizing Kim Jong Un—& @Twitter is complicit.— Kat Turner (@katturner) January 1, 2018
Is there no way these two can stop playing whose rockets are bigger? Can 2018 be about peace or at the very least... quiet?
