The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Just Announced Their 2018 Inductees—And Twitter Is Jazzed

It's the moment rock fans anticipate every year: The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame has revealed their list of inductees for 2018 — and it's a stellar one!

Twitter couldn't be more excited about all six artists inducted into the 2018 class: Bon Jovi, Dire Straits, Nina Simone, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, The Cars, and The Moody Blues.

But everyone was particularly stoked about fan vote winner Bon Jovi:

Including Jon Bon Jovi himself, who was quick to thank his fans:

Founded in 1983, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame — located in Cleveland, Ohio — honors just a handful of musical performers.

Some inductees are early influencers and innovators from way back:

Many folks were happy to see Nina Simone's name on the list:

One poor, unfortunate soul complained they didn't know who she was:

The selection process begins with the foundation's nominating committee, then goes through a meticulous voting process.

The foundation considers input from historians, music industry insiders, past inductees, and even fans.

The actual induction ceremony takes place on April 14, 2018, but the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will be celebrating these artists all year long.

Congratulations to all!
