Did you know that since 1998, November 19 has been International Men's Day (IMD)? Organizers say the day is an opportunity for people around the world to celebrate the men in their lives and the contributions they make to society.
Commemorating International Men’s Day have included public seminars, conferences, festivals and fundraisers, classroom activities at schools, radio and television programs, Church observances, and peaceful displays and marches.
Yo it's #InternationalMensDay today! There is a lot to talk about!— Lee Constable (@Constababble) November 18, 2017
-Men's physical and mental health
-How the patriarchy harms men
-How to allow men to be emotionally vulnerable
-Challenges facing MOC and indigenous men
-List goes on!
Today for #InternationalMensDay, I would encourage all guys to reject the toxic narrative surrounding masculinity. You don’t have to be aggressive. You don’t have to be strong. It’s okay to cry. Be kind to yourself and don’t let society tell you who you are.— Liam Hackett (@DiageoLiam) November 19, 2017
