Images of China's new library have been flooding the internet. The library is located in the Binhai Cultural District in Tianjin. Book lovers around the world have been drooling over the futuristic building designed by Dutch architectural firm MVRDV.

Do we ignore the fact that most of those "books" are just wallpaper— Anthony (@anthonyyco1) November 16, 2017
Heartbreaking, but it turns out most of the books in this gorgeous reading room aren't real!! The shelves just have books printed on them, @freddufour_afp and I found: https://t.co/gqFq4vjL4i … #PeakChina #ImportantBreakingNews pic.twitter.com/O5v6qMvl6k— Rebecca Davis (@rebeccaludavis) November 17, 2017
Don't fret! The library does have real books in other, more traditional rooms. It currently houses over 200,000 books, and plans to expand to its capacity of over 1.2 million. The painted books are for decoration in the atrium and reading area.
