Being Batman isn't everything it's cracked up to be. Ben Affleck, who starred as the caped crusader in Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice and the upcoming Justice League, is reportedly looking for a way to exit the DC Universe.
Ben Affleck wanting a way out of the DCEU after 2 movies baffles my mind.— Joe Natya (@Theman673) November 14, 2017
Kinda upset Ben Affleck doesn’t wanna have a prolonged career playing Batman. There are a lot of villains I was hoping to see Batman go up against on screen.— Alex Rey (@ReyRockatansky) November 14, 2017
Robert Downey Jr has been Iron Man since 2008 and doesn't really seem to want to quit. He's appeared as Iron Man in about 8-10 Marvel movies— Chay Sorkin (@ChaySorkin) November 14, 2017
Ben Affleck has been Batman since 2015 and has been talking about quitting since 2016. After 2.1 DCEU movies.
The #DCEU effect everyone.
I don’t think I’ve ever been less excited about anything in my life (including trips to the dentist) than Ben Affleck appears to be about playing Batman.— Jason Pinter (@jasonpinter) November 14, 2017
When Ben Affleck says he's looking for a cool way to segue out of Batman and reports say they are looking for an in-story reason for him leaving, it tells me to stop trying to recast Bruce. Who's playing Dick Grayson? That's your next Batman.— Drew Kiess (@Drew_Kiess) November 14, 2017
I have a great way for Ben Affleck to leave Batman if he chooses too:— James MozΞy (@DistantLaugh) November 14, 2017
Take a #BatmanBeyond approach. Have Ben Affleck retire as Batman, but not Bruce Wayne. Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne could mentor in a new Batman, and then have his character slowly die off.#Batman
Who knows what the future will bring? Justice League hits theaters this Friday, November 17, in what might be Affleck's last turn as the man under the cowl.
Hated the initial casting of Ben Affleck as Batman now I can't imagine anyone taking over if he was to depart from the DCEU— Plain Jane (@lickthisbox) November 14, 2017
