Hanson Robotics, based in Hong Kong, has unleashed Sophia the robot on world and we should all be afraid. Sophia became an internet sensation last month when she became a citizen of Saudi Arabia and announced in a video during SXSW that she wanted to "destroy humans."
Now Business Insider has interviewed Sophia at the tech conference Web Summit in Lisbon, Portugal. With her bizarre facial expression that are all too familiar, Sophia is officially freaking everyone out.
How many movies they gotta make before yall realize this aint a good idea lol— Trill Mike (@Michael_L0cker) November 14, 2017
Lol that hesitation when he asked 'do you like humans' 😂 same tbh— A Celestial Being 🌸 (@BobydahBadu) November 9, 2017
Seriously, the Elon Musk this past summer regarding the fast approaching flux of AI amongst us makes Sophia even more alarming. It’s not Science fiction any longer.— Robby T〽️🐺🦅🏹🌀🍁 (@rezzhead) November 14, 2017
Yeah I know. Like I get that AI isn't there yet but building them to be able to choose whether they like us or not is troubling— Kønflict ☥ (@ItuByNature) November 9, 2017
Sorry... I can get behind many technological advances to improve life quality, but having robots like this scares the sh*t out of me. That robot brain had to consider the best way to answer the last question... nah.— Kate Reynolds (@katireynolds) November 9, 2017
Somebody please throw a wig on that bloody Sophia robot already. Christ. I don't want to see your transformer lookin' insides, thot.— SgtYoda (@Sgt_Yoda) October 27, 2017
Why can't they put some damn hair on her? I mean it's creepy enough as it is, but at least they could cover up the innards.— Christopher J (@christopherjmi) November 14, 2017
